| About Study |
In a meeting taken by Secretary (Power) / Chairman (WEC-IMC) held on 21.05.09, he opined that WEC-IMC should expand its activities. He suggested that member organizations of WEC-IMC may patronize promote and support WEC activities and studies in relevant areas of their core business. Accordingly, it was decided that POWERGRID may associate with WEC-IMC for working as a nodal organization for Transmission & Distribution (T & D) related activities which inter-ala includes compilation of relevant statistics, status and future growth plans in T&D as well as benchmarking with the global practices which can be done in association with other organizations in India & abroad. Based on this exercise, a report on T&D in India may be published by the POWERGRID. A conference on T & D sector may also be organized with this report as a backgrounder to further understand and deliberates upon various issues and challenges facing the sector.
