Energy Synergy Dialogue
World Energy Council-Indian Member Committee (WEC-IMC) has initiated a series of “Energy Synergy Dialogue” to promote the communication, deliberation & interaction on the critical issues of Indian energy sector. The organization identifies Energy Synergy Dialogue as a significant contribution towards “sustainable supply and use of energy” and aspires to transform it into a very useful forum through the participation of energy professionals by evolving a regular meeting point for the serious players in the energy sector who would like to benefit from the knowledge and experience of the top professional in the sector.

The major issues taken in various Energy Synergy Dialogues are as follows:-


  • 4th Energy Synergy Dialogue: Dr Malti Goel, the Former Advisor and Senior Scientist, DST on "Challenges in coping with Global Warming-Thermal Power Generation"

    Sh. R.S. Sharma, CMD NTPC & Member Secretary, WEC-IMC chaired the session and threw light on the several initiatives taken by the NTPC for the promotion green & clean power generation in the thermal power industry. He reiterated that NTPC believes in “Going for higher generation with lower GHG intensity”.

    Dr. Malti Goel in her address highlighted the various aspects of the Global warming in the rapidly changing world and how can Indian thermal power sector play major role to lower GHG emission. She shared several mitigation measures which the power industry can adopt & implement to prepare for a carbon free future.
